This site is dedicated to the memory of Ajibola Adeleye Oyeyinka.

This memorial site is created to keep an evergreen memory of AJIBOLA ADELEYE OYEYINKA; a much loved Husband, Father, Brother, Nephew, Uncle, Cousin, Relative and Friend. He was born in Nigeria on August 27, 1957 and departed for heaven unexpectedly on Friday, 01 February 2013. "Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal." Thomas Moore, 1816. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow - Jeremiah 31:13. Jibola was the beloved husband of Esther Oluwayemisi, his teenage sweetheart, to whom he was married on 27 August 1990 (23 years ago) and the devoted father of Joshua Oluwademilade, Josiah Oluwadanisinuola and Joseph Oluwadamifoye. Jibola was born as one of nine children to the family of the Late Mr Adeyinka Oyeyinka and Late Mrs Henrietta Omotaiwo Oyeyinka. He attended the CMS Grammar School, Lagos, Nigeria and the Lagos State College of Science and Technology where he graduated in Business Administration. He commenced his work life in Lagos at Latola Films Company before he relocated to the UK where he worked with the US International Chain, Circle K before joining the world leading confectionery company, Sweet Factory. He later moved to the public service by working with Westminster City Council, where he worked from 1993 - 2003; his last position there was as Finance Admin Manager, with the Social Services Department. He progressed further by setting up his own business, Oyeyinka Industries and expanded this business back to Nigeria seven years ago by setting up several projects in Lagos. Jibola was a humble and respectful man, vibrant, exuberant, full of vitality and vigour, and a truly family-oriented man. A very hardworking and positive-thinking person, Jibola was witty, kind and God-fearing. He came from a large community of relatives, in-laws and friends, especially in UK, USA and Nigeria, and he was a caring, large-hearted man to all he came in contact with. Aside from his wife and sons, his survivors include his siblings - elder brothers, Kole and Yomi, his younger brother, Goriola, his elder sisters, Kofo and Toyin . He was a much loved uncle to his nephews and nieces who include Folarin,Folabi and Folajinmi Famurewa and Tene,Bade and Tokunbo Fatona. We are reminded by Jibola's death of the poem by John Donne - Poet, Lawyer and Dean of St Paul's Cathedral, London (1572-1631): "All mankind is of one author, and is one volume: when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language...no man is an island entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee." Though our numbers are diminished by Jibola's death, yet God will continue to increase all his loved ones, beyond imagination and expectations, in Jesus' name. Amen. "From them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honour and they will not be disdained. Their children will be as in the days of old, and their community will be established before me." Jeremiah 30:19-20. Gone from sight but never from our memory - All is well!
